Ideal if you want…
- Release the tension your schedule builds up
- Calm the nervous system, not just the muscles
- Slow down long enough for the body to let go
What you’ll feel
- Fuller breathing from the first session
- Neck and shoulders that move freely again
- Deeper sleep in the nights that follow
How the session works
- 1Short check-in: current needs, sensitive areas, preferred pressure.
- 2Session adapted in real time — the stated time is actual massage time.
- 3Calm landing at home: no drive back to undo the benefit.
Deep release massage is a long session — 90 or 120 minutes — given at your home, on a professional table, from Bayonne to Donostia-San Sebastián. The price includes everything: travel, table, oils and towels, from €125.
There is nothing to organise. A quiet space, a towel. The rest arrives with the table.
What is a deep release massage?
It is a slow, enveloping massage that works on muscular tension and the nervous system at the same time. Where a deep tissue massage targets precise areas with strong pressure, deep release gives the body time to let go — which is exactly why the session lasts at least 90 minutes.
The pace is deliberately slower than a Swedish massage. Pressure adjusts continuously, area by area: neck, shoulders, back, legs. The fascia — the sheaths that wrap every muscle — release at their own speed, never under force. Breathing widens. The mind follows.
What people look for in this format: deeper sleep, a neck that turns again, and that rare feeling of leaving lighter than you arrived — except here, you are already home.
Why at home rather than in a spa?
Because the drive back destroys part of the benefit. After 90 minutes of deep release, getting into a car, finding parking, facing coastal traffic in summer: the body tightens up again before you are even home.
At home, the session ends where it should: at your place. Stay lying down five more minutes if you wish. Follow with a shower, a herbal tea, a nap. That extension is the difference between a pause and real recovery.
Whose hands are you in?
That is the real question when you open your door to a practitioner. Here are verifiable facts rather than promises: Stéphane has practised massage for 25 years. He holds a three-year shiatsu diploma and is certified Reiki level IV and Touch for Health level 5.
Before settling in the Basque Country, he founded La Voie du Bien-Être in Belgium, rated 4.9/5 across more than 50 Google reviews. Those clinic years shaped a simple conviction: a good massage does not apply a protocol, it listens to a body.
Which towns do you cover?
Home sessions cover the Basque coast and Labourd: Bayonne, Anglet, Biarritz, Ustaritz, Saint-Pée-sur-Nivelle, Saint-Jean-de-Luz and Hendaye. On the Gipuzkoa side, regular presence between Irún and Donostia-San Sebastián. See the full list of areas covered in the Basque Country.

How much does a home massage cost in the Basque Country?
The 90-minute session costs €125, the 120-minute session €150 — travel, professional table, oils and towels included. Nothing is added at payment. Full details on the prices and packages page.
A 60-minute format exists at €95, better suited to targeted back-and-neck work than to a full release. For a true deep release, 90 minutes is the right format: it is the most requested, and that is no accident.
FAQ
Do I need to prepare anything at home?
Almost nothing. A quiet space of roughly 2 by 3 metres for the table, and a personal towel. I bring everything else: professional table, oils, towels and music if you wish. Setup takes five minutes and the space is left as it was found.
Does the price include travel?
Yes. The listed prices — €95 for 60 minutes, €125 for 90 minutes, €150 for 120 minutes — include travel within the covered area, all equipment and actual massage time. No fee is added at booking or payment.
How is it different from deep tissue?
Deep tissue targets precise tension with strong, sustained pressure: it works the muscle. Deep release acts more slowly, on the whole body and the nervous system: it works your overall state. If you hesitate, the check-in at the start of the session settles it.
Can we book for two people?
Yes, in back-to-back sessions: each person receives their full massage time, one after the other. For special formats — hotel, event, several people — a tailored arrangement is offered on request.
Is a home massage as good as one in a clinic?
Yes, provided the equipment follows: professional table, quality oils, towels supplied. Home even has the advantage: the benefit is not interrupted by the drive back. You stay in the state of relaxation you reached, at home, with no transition.
When should I book?
Sessions are by appointment only, and evening and weekend slots go first. Send two or three availabilities with your town and neighbourhood: you receive a proposed slot in return, with no commitment.
